Newborns & Babies

Hello & welcome to the Wild Mama studio suitable from age 0-2 years & based in Tuckton (between Southbourne & Christchurch).

Sessions are baby & toddler led and are as laid back as possible. My aim is for you to interact with your little one as much as you do at home & in turn I will be ready to photograph the laughter, the love & the connection. I use only natural light within the studio with a classic, simple, white theme.

Newborn sessions 0-12 weeks old

Newborn sessions are suitable between the ages of 0-12 weeks old. It is not essential for newborns to be under the age of 3 weeks old as it is for some photographers, as I do not pose babies and so have no need for them to be in that very sleepy, malleable state. Sessions are baby led so if we need to stop photographing so that baby can have a feed then that is what we will do & resume only when baby is ready. Babies only need to be in a white vest for their photos and sometimes just a nappy. I have a small collection of wraps & blankets. Both Newborn, Baby & Toddler Sessions include photos with the whole family - parents and siblings.

Baby & Toddler session - 13 weeks - 2 years

Baby & Toddler sessions cover it all! The babbling & blowing raspberries, the sitters, the crawlers, the walkers & the little people! I have a beautiful collection of wooden toys for sitters upwards & a bubble machine. Sessions are an up to an hour long and you are welcome to bring your own white outfit or use one of mine. Generally babies under 9 months are ok in a simple white vest or neutral outfit.

£150 entitles you to an hours session (maybe longer or shorter depending on baby) and 10 digital images to choose from your online password protected gallery which you can then download and use as you wish.

Cake Smash Sessions

The Wild Mama studio puts a modern twist on the cake smash! We have no coloured backdrops, balloon displays or fancy props. What we do have is simplicity & beauty.

Our naked cakes are made by a local baker, Blundell Bakes (she also caters for dietary requirements) . Your hour session comprises of 15-20 minutes of photographing your toddler playing with our studio toys whilst they adapt to being in the studio with the camera before moving on to the fun messy part!
